Ludwigsfelde (Germany), May 14, 2014 – MTU Maintenance, one of the world’s leading providers of commercial aero engine maintenance, has signed a new contract with the state-owned Venezuelan carrier CONVIASA for engine overhaul and on-wing support services of its General Electric CF34-10 engines including lease engine services. Under the exclusive contract, MTU Maintenance will be responsible for the maintenance of all CF34-10 engines powering CONVIASA’s ERJ-190 fleet.

MTU Maintenance has been an authorized CF34TM service provider for the engine family since 2001 and has performed over 1,000 engine repairs, both off-wing and on-wing.”
Headquartered at Simón Bolívar International Airport, Venezuela, CONVIASA is the country’s largest airline. It offers around 90 daily flights to 23 domestic and 10 international destinations.
