New at airberlin: Flights to Amman

Codeshare flights with Royal Jordanian from Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna

In the near future, airberlin and oneworld® member Royal Jordanian will be working together as codeshare partners. As of now, flight tickets to Jordan, featuring airberlin flight numbers, can be booked. The agreement applies to flights starting from 1st November 2011.

With the start of the winter flight schedule, airberlin passengers will be able to travel to Amman, the capital of Jordan, from Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna. In return, passengers of the Jordanian airline company will be able to book flights featuring Royal Jordanian flight numbers, on a number of German and European airberlin routes.

“We are pleased to announce our first codeshare agreement together with an Arab airline, namely Royal Jordanian. Passengers flying Royal Jordanian will benefit from the cooperation in that selected destinations in Germany, Austria and Poland can, for the first time, be reached under a flight number shared with airberlin. Furthermore, this cooperation allows airberlin to further expand its presence in the Middle East” explained Paul Gregorowitsch,
Chief Commercial Officer airberlin.

Royal Jordanian President/CEO Hussein Dabbas said that Royal Jordanian is delighted to cooperate with its future oneworld partner airberlin, as this agreement further extends connectivity options, through expanding our route network and giving our customers much better access to many more cities across Germany, and help them take advantage of better links to Northern Europe.

As of today, flight tickets to Amman can be booked for departures starting from
1st November 2011. Tickets can be booked over the Internet (airberlin.com), at the company’s Service Center (phone: 01805-737 800; 0.14 €/min. from landlines or max. 0.42 €/min. from cell phones) and in travel agencies. The quoted prices include taxes, charges and topbonus miles.
