New CEO in Air Greenland

Chairman of the Board, Jens Wittrup Willumsen, is pleased to announce that Michael Højgaard will take over as CEO of Air Greenland from August 1st, 2013.

Michael Højgaard comes from a position as CEO of Lindpro Inc. which is Denmark’s largest electrical contractor business with more than 1000 employees in 23 departments around the country. Michael has been CEO of Lindpro since 2005 and has spearheaded a profitable growth of 43% during that period, in a declining and highly competitive market.

From 1994 until 1998, Michael Højgaard vas employed with Air Greenland, originally as Vice President, Technical and later as Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
From 1998 until 2005, Michael was Vice President at SAS Technical Services AB in Stockholm.

Michael Højgaard is 51 years old and very much an outdoors person. ”I am looking forward to returning to Air Greenland and to living in Greenland with my family again. Greenland has embarked on a very exciting journey which we are eager to become a part of.” says Michael Højgaard.

Current CEO, Michael Binzer, will leave Air Greenland at the end of March 2013 to take up the position as CEO of TelePost Greenland. ”Michael Binzer has generated remarkable results in Air Greenland and both management and employees are grateful for his work the past 5 years.” the Chairman adds.

CFO Mogens E. Jensen will be acting CEO from the time Michael Binzer leaves at the end of March, untill Michael Højgaard takes up the position on August 1st.
