New Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines

Warsaw, 30th August 2011 – Today Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders of LOT Polish Airlines has appointed Mr Zbigniew Rapciak as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines.

Zbigniew Rapciak was appointed as a Member of the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines on 22 July 2009. Since 7 September 2009, he has been a Member of the Committee for Restructuring the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines. On 22 March 2010, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board of LOT Polish Airlines.

Zbigniew Rapciak is the CEO of Polskie LNG S.A. Until March 2009, he was the Undersecretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure. Between 2002 and 2008, he held the position of the Director of the Krakow Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA). Before that, he was the Deputy CEO of the Agency for the Construction and Operation of Motorways and the Director of the South-East Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) in Krakow.

Zbigniew Rapciak is a graduate of the Krakow University of Economics. He completed a postgraduate course in management and finances at the Warsaw School of Economics. He also completed specialist management apprenticeship courses in Milan.

He is an author of papers on the management of investment processes in infrastructure. Zbigniew Rapciak is also a Member of the Supervisory Board of Poczta Polska, the Polish postal operator.
