During the first half of 2011, airBaltic transported a total of 1,588,712 passengers, or 8% more than during the same period in 2010, when the total number of passengers was 1,472,089.
In June, airBaltic operated 5,506 flights, or 2% less as in June 2010, when airBaltic operated 5,592 flights. Between January and the end of June, the airline provided 27,919 flights in all.
The airline’s load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in June 2011 was at a level of 79% – or 7% points more than in June 2010. During the first half of 2011 the airline’s load factor was at a level of 71%, or 6% points more than in the same period last year.
The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic was at a level of 83.2% in June 2011. This means that more than 83 of every 100 airBaltic flights in June departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
