Philippine Airlines Launched Cebu-Osaka Maiden Flight

A Philippine Airlines Airbus 321 aircraft is given a water cannon salute at the Mactan, Cebu International Airport prior to its maiden journey to Osaka, Japan. The new air service was followed by the launching of the Cebu-Nagoya flights. The new frequencies mark the flag carrier’s route expansion bringing to 67 the total number of PAL flights to Japan per week. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the flight are (from left): the Consul of Japan in Cebu Shoki Otake, DOT Region 7 Director Rowena Montecillo, PAL Visayas Area Head Chris Lebumfacil and GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation Chief Executive Advisor Andrew Harrison.
