Subang, Selangor, 4 January 2016 – Raya Airways Sdn Bhd, ( “Raya Airways” or “ the airline” ) is a renowned name in the cargo airline business in Asia with service offerings in scheduled and express delivery, aircraft charters, ground handling, warehousing, trucking connections, and MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) services, today announced its’ plans to launch two new cargo destinations; Jakarta and Hanoi.

By early February 2016, Raya Airways will launch the Jakarta and Hanoi destinations,and the airline plans to fly 3 times per week on its Boeing 757-200 Freighter (B757-200F). The aircraft is capable of carrying more than 32 tonnes of cargo per flight. The airline, currently covers East and West Malaysia, together with Singapore, and other Asian destinations.

Hanoi was chosen as Vietnam, is well-connected to other countries in Asia and the airport facilities is able to support the complex flight networks and serves as a gateway to the major cities in Asia. Jakarta, on the other hand is also one of the world’s busiest airports and is the mainairtransporthubinSouthEastAsiaregion. Theintroductionofthetwonewdestinations put Raya Airways on a vantage point as the airline can now offer the critical connections to Asia’s hot spots.

Raya Airways Commercial Director, Lee Shashitheren said, “2016 will bear witness of Raya Airways growth, translated through the exercise of fleet expansion and introduction of new destinations. By 3rd Quarter of 2016, we would have 3 new B767-200F and 2 new B757-200F aircrafts. The fleet expansion is a very good sign that our services are highly-sought after and we have to increase the number of aircrafts to cater for the demand by our customers.”

Moving forward, in 2016, Raya Airways hope to achieve a total of 11 destinations, whilst providing the best services to its clients. The airline is also looking forward to spread its wings to farther and more exotic destinations.
