Royal Air Maroc sources ATR72-600 financing from BNP Paribas and KfW IPEX-Bank

Royal Air Maroc (“RAM”) mandated BNP Paribas and KfW IPEX-Bank as Joint Arrangers for the financing of 4 ATR 72-600 aircraft. The first 600 series aircraft was delivered to launch customer RAM on August 16, while the second aircraft will be delivered on August 19. The third and fourth aircraft will be delivered in 2012. The financing was structured as a 12-year ECA-Loan Facility co-insured by Coface and SACE. BNP Paribas is acting as ECA-Facility Agent, Security Trustee and French National Agent, whereas KfW IPEX-Bank is acting as Paying Agent and Italian National Agent. The new ATR 72-600 aircraft, equipped with PW127M engines, brand new Armonia cabin and a state-of-the-art avionics are being operated by RAM’s subsidiary Royal Air Maroc Express.
