As of September 27th, SATA will again fly to Salvador da Bahia in Brazil, with a regular weekly trip, departing from Lisbon on Thursday and returning on Friday.
After obtaining authorization from the Brazilian aviation authority, SATA now has open doors for a further step in the development of its ambition to establish itself in international markets, while responding positively to the various expressions of interest for establishing partnerships, not only from the Brazilian and Portuguese tourism sector, but also from official entities of the State of Bahia.
SATA thus bets on Brazil that, with its emerging and thriving economy in the global context, distinguishes itself for the great potential of its market that records significant growth rates, which are interesting for commercial aviation in general and, particularly, for SATA’s growth strategy.
With the supply of this new destination by SATA, already available in the sales distribution channels in the tourism sector, the Atlantic vocation of the Azores airline is strengthened, as well as its deployment abroad, by adding the Brazil destination to the United States, Canada and Europe destinations.
Having already explored the Brazilian market through an operation in the form of “charter” flights, SATA’s expectations for its debut in flights between Portugal and Brazil are high, seeing as it is a step that fits not only the size of the company, but also the availability of equipment to develop this air link.
In order to enter the Brazilian market and capture the growing number of Brazilians who visit Europe, SATA will develop, in this particular context, an aggressive strategy by offering good schedules that will combine with the existing possibilities for connections to other European destinations from Lisbon.
Through the development of its strategy of growth and diversification of business in order to continue its business development path with positive results and the consolidation of its notoriety, SATA asserts itself in international markets with competitive value propositions.
The new operation for the Brazilian market, which will be developed to SATA’s scale, is yet another contribution that will foster tourist flows between Northeast Brazil and Portugal, and thus emphasize the importance and capacity of the air carrier of which the Azorean people are so proud, for being an exporting company that actively contributes to the growth of the economy of the Azores.
