SINGAPORE AIRLINES NAMES MR. CHAI WOO FOO VICE PRESIDENT OF THE AMERICAS
LOS ANGELES, December 21, 2010 — Mr. C. W. Foo has been named regional vice president – Americas for Singapore Airlines, based at the carrier’s regional headquarters in Los Angeles. Mr. Foo holds overall responsibility for the airline’s business and operations in the region which includes sales, marketing and communications activities, in addition to overseeing operations for over 50 weekly services at SIA gateways in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Newark, New York (JFK) and Sao Paulo (new service planned from March 28, 2011).
Mr. Foo joined Singapore Airlines in 1995 and has held a succession of management positions in marketing and planning at the carrier’s global headquarters in Singapore. His extensive international experience includes management positions for SIA’s operations in Japan, Pakistan and New Zealand. He most recently served as the country in India where the airline flies to six destinations.
Mr. Foo holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
