ST. GEORGE, Utah, Jan. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) today reported a 2.2 percent decrease in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for December, while available seat miles (ASMs) decreased 0.2 percent compared to December 2013. SkyWest also reported that passenger boardings for December decreased 3.4 percent to 4,746,121 compared to 4,912,416 for the same period last year. Load factor decreased to 82.4 percent compared to 84.1 percent in December 2013. The combined airlines generated 2.6 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs were 3.1 billion. SkyWest also reported a decrease of 5.3 percent in departures to 107,112 for December compared to 113,110 for the same period last year.
