GEORGE, Utah, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — SkyWest, Inc., (NASDAQ: SKYW) (“SkyWest”) passenger boardings for September increased 5.3 percent to 4,831,914 compared to 4,586,941 for the same period last year. SkyWest also reported a 1.0 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for September, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 0.6 percent compared to September 2011. The combined airlines generated 2.4 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 3.0 billion. Load factor increased to 80.2 compared to 79.9 in September 2011. SkyWest also reported an increase in departures to 118,181 for September compared to 112,446 for the same period last year.
