Skyworld Aviation arranges Airbus A320 sale to Sky Wings Airlines

Skyworld Aviation is pleased to announce the successful procurement of an Airbus A320, acting on behalf of Sky Wings Airlines of Athens, Greece.

In a deal arranged by Skyword Aviation, Sky Wings Airlines took delivery of an Airbus A320, serial number 376, on February 25th from AerCap. The aircraft was previously in operation with Air India.

Sky Wings Airlines was established in 2005 utilising an MD80 aircraft, also sourced by Skyworld Aviation. The airline now operates 6 aircraft, a combination of MD80’s and A320’s, on non-scheduled charter and wet lease operations. Operations are primarily concentrated in Europe but wet lease services are also provided to clients in the Middle East and Asia.

Although primarily specialists in regional aircraft, this is the third A320 aircraft Skyworld Aviation has placed this year, having also arranged the sale of serial numbers 362 (from AeroTurbine) and 405 (from Jetscape).

Skyworld Aviation offers specialist consultancy, marketing and asset management services to mainly the regional airline industry. The company was originally formed to manage the aircraft leasing and trading transactions within the Skyways AB group of companies in Sweden, but is now an independent company with an extensive client base in all corners of the world. Skyworld Aviation has completed 415 aircraft related transactions for over 125 clients to a value of over $700 million.
