SMALL PLANET AIRLINES AWARDS INTEGRATED CONSUMABLES MANAGEMENT CONTRACT TO A J WALTER AVIATION

Small Planet Airlines has chosen A J Walter Aviation, the world’s leading spares support specialist, to provide integrated consumables management. This new contract will support charter flight programmes from Fiumicino (Rome) and Malpensa (Milan) throughout the year.

Recently expanded Small Planet Airlines now operates in Italy and AJW will position spares consignments to support the airline’s line maintenance programme. AJW’s flexible and integrated approach to consumables management will ease the demand management process for Small Planet Airlines, resulting in reduced inventory and transaction costs.

Small Planet Airlines is part of the Lithuanian aviation business – Avia Solution Group – and provides full charter, ACMI and ad-hoc flights for airlines and tour operators. The airline operates a fleet of six Boeing 737-300 and two Airbus A320 aircraft and offers flights from Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Italy and the UK. The airline has already carried over 400,000 passengers and has earned 46 million Euros in revenues. It has also been the leader of the Baltic region charter market since 2009.

AJW will deliver savings to Small Planet Airlines from day one. “Our Integrated Consumables Management programme will provide a streamlined consumables solution that delivers outstanding value for money and continuous customer support in one easy step”, explains Nick Roberts, Consumables Supply Manager at A J Walter Aviation. “This contract represents one of over a dozen agreements signed in the past six months which firmly establishes AJW as a significant and rapidly growing service provider in this specialist market.”
