SR Technics and Garuda Indonesia strengthen relationship

SR Technics and Garuda Indonesia have strengthened their partnership with a five- year Integrated Component Solutions (ICS) contract. Building on existing agreements to provide ICS for the airline’s Airbus A330 fleet, SR Technics will now also support Garuda’s Boeing 737NG fleet.

The USD 36m agreement, which is covering 43 aircraft, runs from April 1, 2011 through to March 31, 2016. It includes a starting inventory of 455 part numbers in Zurich. The contract also includes an SR Technics owned home-base stock of inventory in Jakarta, which Garuda will utilize on a lease basis. As an additional part of the accord SR Technics will support PT GMF Aeroasia, Garuda’s Maintenance Facility, in developing some specific component maintenance in-house capability in accordance with a pre- designed roadmap.

“We have enjoyed a strong relationship with Garuda Indonesia for over 25 years, and are particularly excited to be entering into a new era with the airline supporting its Boeing 737NG fleet,” comments James Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of SR Technics. “This new ICS Agreement for B737NG is testament to the valuable Integrated Component Solutions work we have been performing for Garuda since 1999 on its Airbus A330 fleet, delivering best-in-class Service Levels to only the highest quality. We look forward to supporting Garuda for many years to come.”

Hadinoto Soedigno, Director of Maintenance & Fleet Management of Garuda Indonesia, welcomes this partnership and expects it will support the operational performance of Garuda Indonesia in the future. “By implementing the Quantum Leap program, we will have 153 brand new aircraft in 2015, including B737-800NG. We therefore need SR Technics – our reliable partner – to support our aircraft operations through Integrated Component Solutions (ICS),” said Soedigno.
