SR Technics continues to invest in enhancement of its VIP refurbishments and modifications capabilities

April 16, 2013 – Zurich, Switzerland: SR Technics, part of the Mubadala Aerospace MRO network, is continuing to enhance and develop its VIP and VVIP cabin refurbishment and modification offering. Over the past 12 months the company has invested in new engineering tooling and systems and has almost doubled the size of its VIP team, enabling SR Technics to provide customized, cost effective, smart solutions that enable the customer to utilize and enjoy their aircraft to the maximum.

The increasing complexity of VIP cabin modifications and refurbishments requires accurate handling and management of design data, in order to ensure proper configuration control and avoid any project delays. For this purpose, SR Technics has invested in a global concept based on ENOVIA V6 with multi-CAD integration using CATIA V6 for 3D design and computer aided manufacturing as well as AutoCAD for 2D applications. This state-of-the-art technology will ensure the most cost effective developments are being made to realize our customers’ needs.

This will further support SR Technics’ reliability for on-time delivery for every VIP aircraft. To date the company has completed two widebody Airbus cabin refurbishment projects, both of which were delivered on time and to the customer’s exacting quality standards. Both these projects were combined with scheduled heavy maintenance checks on the aircraft.
