ST AEROSPACE SIGNS COMPONENT MBHTM CONTRACT WITH TRANSASIA AIRWAYS

Singapore, 25 October 2012 – ST Aerospace announced today that it has signed a 10-year component Maintenance-By-the-Hour (MBHTM) contract with TransAsia Airways, for the latest additions to their fleet of aircraft – two new Airbus A330 aircraft. Under the MBHTM contract, ST Aerospace will provide support for component repairs, warranty management, as well as consignment and pool access to its global rotables inventory pool. The contract is expected to commence on 1 November 2012.

This contract broadens the work scope and extends the six-year relationship between the two companies. ST Aerospace currently supports TransAsia Airways’ fleet of five A321 and four A320 aircraft under a similar component MBHTM contract. It also provides line and heavy maintenance services to TransAsia Airways’ A321 and A320 fleet.

“TransAsia Airways’ principal business guidelines centre on safety, accuracy, operational precision, as well as service excellence, and we are delighted to find a partner that shares the same beliefs as us. Our relationship with ST Aerospace started in 2006 when we awarded them with a heavy maintenance contract to support our A321 and A320 fleet of aircraft. Through the years,
ST Aerospace has proven that it is able to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective solutions. We are pleased with the operational support, as ST Aerospace has ensured that our fleet flies well, and our needs are well taken care of.”
~ Vincent M. LIN, Chairman, TransAsia Airways

“ST Aerospace is delighted to provide component MBHTM support for TransAsia Airways’ newly added Airbus A330 fleet. This contract is significant to us in two ways. First, as TransAsia Airways expands, we are broadening our work scope to support their new aircraft fleet. Second, it is the first A330 component MBHTM contract for our Singapore facility. As the two companies grow in our journey forward, we hope to continue supporting TransAsia Airways with value added services and achieve greater heights together.”
~ CHANG Cheow Teck, President, ST Aerospace
