Today, Sun Country Airlines announced that it has negotiated a 5 year extension to the current labor agreement with the Transport Workers Union (TWU), representing the airline’s flight dispatchers. Union members voted unanimously to approve the agreement which will go into effect immediately.
Commenting on the new labor deal, Stan Gadek, president & CEO of Sun Country Airlines said, “We are pleased to have reached this extension with our dispatchers who are a very important part of Sun Country’s success. I would also like to congratulate Mr. Danny Persuit, president of TWU 545 for his leadership in achieving this agreement.” Gadek went on to say, “The company’s strategic plan is on track and we are proud to partner with the dispatchers and the TWU to continue the growth of our airline in the years ahead.”
Danny Persuit added, “In these difficult economic times for the airline industry, we are pleased to have reached a contract extension that improves the quality of life for our members while partnering with Sun Country to continue to grow and prosper.”
