TAM Airlines optimizes staff travel management with IT from Lufthansa Systems

TAM Airlines, Brazil’s leading carrier, has opted for myIDTravel from Lufthansa Systems as the central staff travel management solution. The innovative IT solution enables the Brazilian airline’s employees to issue electronic tickets for private trips on other airlines’ flights. The module myIDListing enables listings on flights of other airlines without the need for an immediate ticket purchase. Furthermore, the airline can reduce costs through a high level of automation and has thus fulfilled the industry mandate of replacing paper ID tickets by April 2012.

myIDTravel is an integrated solution for efficient ID travel management that eliminates the need for paper tickets. Moreover, it enables airlines to replace them with electronic ID tickets for their own and even for interline flights. myIDTravel offers advantages for airlines by streamlining processes – from maintaining ID agreements and eligibility rules to revenue accounting and interline settlement.
