TES and VIM Airlines Sign Engine Fleet Management Agreement

TES Aviation Group (Wales, UK) has today announced the signing of a long term engine support program with VIM Airlines (Moscow, Russia).

The Engine Management program will support the established Russian airline with all off-wing technical and commercial engine management activities, including reliability programming, fleet forecasting, financial modelling, maintenance planning and repair event management, with the objective of reducing the cost of engine operations and to manage the residual value of the fleet. The agreement will support the Vim operation with the establishment of a robust maintenance program whilst providing transition support and knowledge transfer to accommodate the successful growth of the western engine types.

The partnership takes advantage of TES’ ever-increasing presence in the Russian region and Vim Airlines will benefit from TES’ 18 years of engine management experience, where their expertise of western engine products is proving an invaluable resource to those operators aiming to achieve ultimate efficiency and cost effective operations.

Moscow-based VIM Airlines, commonly known as VIM Avia operates international scheduled and charter, passenger and cargo flights out of Moscow Domodedovo Airport, as well as offering aircraft wet lease. The forward thinking airline is showing great success in the Russian market by expanding its operation with a number of A319 and Embraer aircraft, with potential to include an A340 aircraft in the near future.

TES Aviation Group, a market leader in engine asset management, has a global engine portfolio in excess of 820 engines across a multitude of aircraft platforms. Its client partner base benefit from innovative engine fleet management solutions provided by the largest and most experienced consultant powerplant engineering group in the world, supplemented by a growing asset base of engines available for green-time leasing and quality overhauled parts to significantly reduce the cost of engine maintenance events and overall cost of ownership/operation.

TES will utilise its global shareholder base and market leading position to effectively support the growth plans of Vim Avia. Given the significance of engine maintenance costs in the overall operating costs of an airline, and the magnitude of the financial risks associated with engines, an established and experienced engine management program is essential to all enlightened and profit focused airlines.

Phillip Grant, SVP Business Development at TES said “TES are excited to be working with the dynamic and professional team at Vim Avia. Our consultancy team look forward to supporting Vim in all aspects of their engine management, with the growth of their operations, expansion of the fleet, and reducing the cost of operations whilst maintaining profitability in an increasingly competitive market.”

Mat Burris CEO of TES added “We are delighted to welcome Vim Avia to TES’ growing customer base. Our team will be working closely with Vim Avia looking at all aspects of engine operating cost per flying hour utilising our strengths in technical and commercial management as well as inventory and lease engine provisioning. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with Vim Avia.”
