THAI and SAS Expand Code-Share on Non-Stop Flights from Bangkok to Scandinavia

Bangkok , 4 March 2013 – Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will expand their current code-share agreement by offering non-stop roundtrip flights operated by THAI on three routes to Scandinavia : Bangkok-Stockholm, Bangkok-Oslo, and Bangkok-Copenhagen.

Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan , THAI President, said, “The expanded code-share agreement between THAI and SAS will offer passengers to and from Bangkok and Scandinavia the opportunity to experience THAI’s renown service on direct non-stop flights, as well as strengthen the current code-share with SAS to destinations in Asia, Scandinavia, and Europe.” THAI and SAS, both founding members of the Star Alliance network, have enjoyed a long-standing partnership and close cooperation, and in recent years this cooperation extended to code-sharing on certain route sectors. Starting from the 2013 Summer Schedule at the end of March, THAI and SAS will further expand their code-share agreement to include these three cities in Scandinavia – Copenhagen , Oslo , and Stockholm .

On the Copenhagen and Stockholm route, THAI will operate with the new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft equipped with new cabin interior and entertainment system for exceptional passenger comfort and onboard enjoyment.
