Warsaw, 11th April 2011 – LOT’s new acquisition, the Embraer 195, landed today at Chopin airport in Warsaw at 12.15 PM.
Today, the LOT Polish Airlines fleet added its first Embraer 190-200 aircraft (commonly known as the Embraer 195).
The Embraer 195 is a medium-range aircraft (2600 km) with a maximum speed of 890 kph, 38.65 m long with a wing span of 28.72 m. Its passenger cabin has seats for 112 passengers.
The new aircraft will be the first model of its type to fly in the colours of the Polish air carrier.
It will serve on medium-range flights in LOT’s European route network. It will make its first flight on April 15 on route LO 231 to Brussels.
At present, LOT uses 29 of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer’s aircraft.They include ten planes of the Embraer 170, fourteen planes of the Embraer 175 and five Embraer 145.
In 2011 and 2012 the LOT Polish Airlines fleet will add three more Embraer 195 aircraft.
