SINGAPORE – Tigerair, leading Singapore-based no-frills airline, today announced that it will launch a four times weekly service from Singapore to Ipoh. Tigerair will be the only Singapore carrier to offer passengers traveling from Singapore direct access to Malaysia’s fourth largest city and home to both rich heritage footprints and trendy entertainment alternatives. The Ipoh service will be operated by an Airbus 320 aircraft, carrying about 1,440 passengers per week. Tickets for the new service which is scheduled to commence on 29 May 2015 (subject to regulatory approval) will go on sale from 20 April.

The route’s flight timings also offer passengers greater connectivity to a myriad of destinations via Singapore. Tigerair’s partnership with Scoot allows passengers to enjoy accessibility to a combined network of over 46 destinations across Asia/Australia such as Australia, Greater China, India, and Indonesia.

Ipoh will be Tigerair’s fourth Malaysian destination which currently comprises Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang.
