TRANSAERO FLEET REACHES 70 AIRCRAFT

Moscow, September 8, 2011 – Transaero Airlines, Russia’s second-largest air carrier, added one more brand-new Boeing 737-800 aircraft leased from Jackson Square Aviation to its fleet, bringing the total number of aircraft to 70.

The Boeing 737-800 has three class configurations with 8 seats in Business class, 54 in Premium Economy and 96 in Tourist Economy class. Additional comfort is delivered to passengers by Boeing’s Sky Interior implemented in the aircraft.

Initially the aircraft will be operated on Transaero’s routes from Moscow to London, Tel Aviv, Almaty and Astana.

The acquisition of the new aircraft will contribute to strengthening the carrier’s position in the market and maintaining high rates of growth. In the first seven months of 2011 Transaero’s key operational indicators increased by more than 25% making the company the fastest developing one among top five Russian airlines.
