Ukraine International Airlines expanded its fleet with 3 new E190 aircraft

Ukraine International Airlines carries on implementing the fleet renewal and expansion program. In July 2013 three new Embraer – 190 aircraft acceptance and transfer was held.

Produced in 2013 new UIA aircraft arrived at Kiev Boryspil International airport on July 4, 11, and 13 respectively. New aircraft passed an official registration procedure in Ukraine and received the following registration numbers UR-EMC, UE-EMD, and UR-EME. New aircraft have passenger capacity of 140 seats each.

UIA operated the first flight on Embraer – 190 UR-EMC en route Kiev – Moscow (Sheremetyevo) was operated on July 7, 2013. July 12, 2013, Embraer-190 UR-EMD operated Kiev – Dnepropetrovsk flight, while Embraer-190 UR-EME is scheduled to operate its first UIA-coded flight en route Kiev – Moscow (Sheremetyevo) on July 16.

UIA fleet currently consists of 33 aircraft: 28 Boeing aircraft and 5 Embraer-190 aircraft.

“Three new Embraer – 190 aircraft acquisition under terms and conditions of operational lease is yet another step of UIA fleet renewal and expansion program implementation, – noted Yervgeny Treskunov, UIA Executive Vice President Strategy and Development. – Sufficient passenger capacity availability will allow UIA to provide passengers with high-quality service and to redefine operations regularity. 3 Boeing 737-900 Next Generation aircraft are scheduled to arrive within the period of late July – early August 2013”.

Thus, UIA fleet will consist of 36 aircraft.
