UTair Group Reports 13.96% Growth in Passenger Turnover for January-April 2014

In the reporting period from January to April 2014, UTair Group aircraft carried a combined total of 2,648,215 passengers, representing an increase of 1.79% over the same period in previous year. Passenger turnover in the reporting period represents a 13.96% increase over 2013 with an increase of 38.14% in the international segment.

For the reporting period passenger load factor reached a total of 74.90%, a 3.11% improvement over performance for the same period last year.

I n the first four months of 2014, UTair Group delivered 7,574.25 tons of cargo. Mail delivered reached 1,560.61 tons, an increase of 47.01% over the same period last year.

UTair helicopters logged a total of 36,348 flight hours in the first four months of 2014. In the same period UTair helicopters delivered 19,387.27 tons of cargo and transported 188,739 passengers.

In April UTair Aviation took delivery of its seventh new Airbus A321 airliner as part of a contract for 20 such aircraft and also a third Boeing 737-800NG aircraft from a delivery contract for 40 airliners of this type.

The UTair Group is scheduled to receive 17 new aircraft directly from manufacturers by the end of 2014, including Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-900, Airbus А321, and Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft models. The new aircraft will be operated on both domestic and international routes with high passenger traffic, ensuring a higher passenger load factor.
