VietJetAir Orders Engines from General Electric & Snecma

(VietJetAir, Hanoi, 16 December 2913) – VietJetAir has concluded the agreement to buy new aero-engines from the joint venture between GE (General Electric) & Snecma.

These engines are superior in terms of performance, fuel efficiency and environmental-friendly. These engines will be installed in the Airbus A320/321 CEO which are part of the earlier order of 100 airplanes signed between VietJetAir and Airbus in September 2013.

The conclusion of this agreement is an important event in Mr Kerry’s agenda of visit. The agreement, which includes technical and maintenance services, is estimated at USD 800 million and is considered as a significant milestone in the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and United State of America.
