Virgin America Reports July 2014 Operational Results

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for July 2014 and the first seven months of the year. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 3.5 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 0.5 percent higher than in the same month in 2013.

Load factor was 85 percent, up 2.4 points from July 2013. The number of onboard passengers decreased 0.4 percent from the same month last year.
