Virgin America Reports June 2013 Operational Results

SAN FRANCISCO, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for June and June year-to-date. Compared with the same month last year, Virgin America’s June 2013 traffic (revenue passenger miles) rose 8.2 percent on a 2.2 percent increase in capacity (available seat miles).

Load factor in June was 84.9 percent, up 4.7 points from June 2012. The number of onboard passengers rose 10.2 percent from the same month in 2012.

Virgin America estimates June 2013 passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) to have increased between 4 and 6 percent, compared with June 2012.
