Virgin America Reports March 2014 Operational Results

SAN FRANCISCO, April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for March 2014 and the first three months of the year. The airline’s traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) rose 2.2 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 2.7 percent higher than in the same month in 2013.

Load factor was 84 percent, down 0.4 points from March 2013. The number of onboard passengers increased 6.4 percent over the same month last year.
