Vx Purchased Seven Aircraft and Five Engines in 2010

Vx Capital Partners completed six transactions in 2010 involving seven aircraft and five engines. On the aircraft side, early in the year, Vx purchased one 737-300 aircraft for part-out and successfully sold the airframe as well as both engines. Vx also purchased two 747-300 aircraft. One of the aircraft remained in the fleet of Air Atlanta Icelandic until end of December 2010 while the other aircraft has been disassembled. Vx sold the airframe and one CF6-80C2B1 engine on the disassembled aircraft and continues to receive interest for the remaining engines and airframe. During the summer, Vx purchased two heavy weight 737-400 aircraft and is in talks with several parties in leasing the aircraft both as passenger aircraft or freight aircraft. In the fall, Vx purchased a MD-11 aircraft which has been placed with World Airways. Vx ended the year with a sale leaseback transaction on one 737-400 aircraft with Extra Airways. On the engine side, Vx purchased one CFM56-3C1 engine is currently in talks with several potential lessors and buyers. In addition, Vx also purchased four Pratt and Whitney-4056 engines. Three of the engines are currently on lease and the remaining one is being sold. Vx also completed the delivery process of three 757-200s which were subject to a forward sale agreement.
