Anglo-Swedish West Atlantic, has entered into a long term arrangement with major international engine maintenance operation Standard Aero for the support of 82 Pratt & Whitney Canada PW126/A engines flown by its BAe ATP fleet.
The agreement involves engine overhaul and field support, in addition to technical expertise, to facilitate the development of West Atlantic’s own internal capabilities of ensuring basic engine sustainability requirements.
“We have decided to renew our relationship with StandardAero following an extensive selection procedure to ensure the services offered were still market competitive,” said Tony Auld, the airline’s Managing Director.
“StandardAero has shown over the years to be flexible and has a consistent focus on developing value added services helping us to control engine operating cost and maintain highest reliability levels. The dedicated programme management ensures both short-term and long-term oversight of our engines and their support in helping us setting up in-house engine repair capability are just two examples of their partnership approach to business.”
“StandardAero is very proud to be supporting West Atlantic with the PW126/A engine maintenance requirements,” said Manny Atwal, vice president, Turboprop Programs, StandardAero. “The combination of the size of the fleet and the specific build requirements for their missions lead us to collaborate on a specific maintenance programme to best meet their short and long term business objectives.”
