Avatar Airlines names Marvin Ruthenberg President & COO

BOCA RATON, Fla. — A new era in air travel is coming. Avatar Airlines, based in Boca Raton Fla., will prove that it is an airline “Where Size Matters.” The airline will be first in a new generation of air travel in the United States.

Avatar Airlines Founder Barry Michaels laid the way for Avatar Airlines to become a reality with his dream, an airline that will make Americans rethink air travel.

Avatar Airlines will be unlike any other current airline operating in the United States. Newly appointed President and COO Marvin Ruthenberg aims to build an airline from the ground up that will rival anything American consumers have seen to date.

Ruthenberg said he will work with senior staff to excite investors, find suitable aircraft to fit the Avatar Airlines business model, and work with government agencies to obtain the necessary authority that will allow operations to begin.

Ruthenberg is no stranger to the airline industry. He came from a legacy airline where he started as a mechanic. From there, he wore many hats, including entry level management positions until he eventually became a vice president.

“I have direct experience working with the FAA as well as other regulatory agencies both domestic and foreign,” Ruthenberg said.

During his tenure, Ruthenberg successfully met and exceeded managerial and financial targets. Ruthenberg also met shareholders expectations, especially in the areas of domestic and international regulations, while balancing operational, safety and security compliance.

Ruthenberg has been studying domestic travel for several years and has learned what it takes to make an operation successful.

“My past successes and a few setbacks have brought me to this point in my life where I can build on my achievements and learn from my setbacks,” Ruthenberg said.
