Abelo Acquires Six Turboprop Aircraft Managed by Aergo Capital

Abelo has expanded its regional aircraft leasing portfolio with the acquisition of six turboprop aircraft managed by Aergo Capital, adding new airline customers and strengthening its presence in the global turboprop market. Abelo sold the aircraft on behalf of MUFG, DBJ and KDB.

The portfolio comprises four ATR 72-600 aircraft and two De Havilland Canada DHC8-400 aircraft. The aircraft are currently leased to Emerald Airlines, Binter Canarias, National Jet Express, Citilink (two aircraft) and Philippine Airlines, introducing five new airline customers to Abelo’s leasing platform.

Chief Executive Officer Stephen Gorman said the acquisition represents another milestone in Abelo’s growth strategy, expanding the lessor’s footprint in the turboprop sector while further diversifying its customer base. He added that the transaction also strengthens the company’s relationship with Aergo Capital and creates opportunities for future collaboration.

Aergo Capital Chief Executive Officer Paul Sheridan said the transaction was completed on behalf of MUFG, Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) and Korea Development Bank (KDB), and thanked all parties involved in closing the sale.
