Air Europa appoints Richard Clark as its new CEO to lead its international expansion
Madrid, November 18, 2025 – Air Europa announces the appointment of Richard Clark as its new CEO, reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence and international growth.
With a solid track record within the company, the outgoing CEO has played a key role in Air Europa’s transformation and development. Since joining in 1987, he has led strategic areas and major projects, strengthening the position of the Madrid Barajas hub as a bridge between Europe and the Americas and consolidating the airline as a benchmark in international connectivity.
Clark’s deep understanding of the business, combined with a strategic vision and renowned management and negotiation skills, have made him a leading figure in the industry.
“Taking on this role is, for me, much more than a responsibility: it is an honor and an opportunity to continue building the future of Air Europa. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the airline’s owners for the trust they have once again placed in me. I face this challenge with the same enthusiasm as on my first day, convinced that, with the effort and talent of our entire team, we will ensure that Air Europa continues to grow and consolidate its position as a leading international airline,” stated the new CEO of Air Europa.
The goal, Clark added, “is to strengthen the Madrid hub as a bridge between continents and move forward hand in hand with our strategic partners to offer our customers a unique, sustainable, and high-quality experience. This is a shared project, and I am confident that, together, we will achieve new goals.”
