Air Nostrum reported a return to profitability in 2025, posting pre-tax net profit of €10.5 million as revenue increased 11% year-over-year to €690.1 million, supported by higher traffic and record passenger load factors.
The Spanish regional carrier generated EBITDA of €37.8 million and operating profit of €25.9 million, compared with €8.3 million in 2024. Flight operations increased 7.2% to 85,169 services during the year, while the average load factor reached a record 82.6%. Passenger traffic rose 9.4% to more than 6.06 million travelers, marking the highest annual total in the airline’s history.
The improved financial performance also enabled Air Nostrum to accelerate repayment of debt incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. During 2025, the airline repaid €53.4 million, including €20 million of early repayment on its loan from Spain’s state-owned holding company SEPI, along with repayments on government-backed bank loans.
Air Nostrum said its fuel hedging strategy and cost-control initiatives have helped limit the impact of higher fuel prices and geopolitical tensions during the first half of 2026. The airline operates a fleet of 46 regional aircraft under the Iberia Regional Air Nostrum brand, serving 59 destinations across nine countries in Europe and North Africa.
