Jet2 Confirms CFM LEAP-1A Engines for Entire A321neo Fleet

Jet2 plc has selected CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines to power an additional 54 Airbus A321neo aircraft, completing engine selection for its entire A321neo fleet.

The latest agreement brings Jet2’s total LEAP-1A-powered A321neo fleet to 146 owned aircraft, plus nine leased aircraft. The order also includes a long-term engine maintenance agreement to support the airline’s expanding operations and future growth.

Jet2 has been a CFM customer for more than two decades and currently operates 29 A321neo aircraft equipped with LEAP-1A engines. The latest commitment builds on previous engine selections announced in 2022 and 2023 as the UK leisure carrier continues to modernize its fleet.

The LEAP-1A engines will support Jet2’s strategy of improving fuel efficiency, reducing emissions and enhancing operational reliability as the airline expands its network.
