Mammoth Freighters has delivered its first converted Boeing 777-200LRMF freighter to Jetran, marking a major milestone for the company’s 777 passenger-to-freighter conversion program.
The aircraft, MSN 32222 and registered N703DN, is the first of more than two dozen 777-200LRMF freighters ordered by Jetran. Thirteen of the aircraft are expected to enter revenue service within DHL’s global cargo network.
The delivery follows the aircraft’s public debut at the Farnborough International Airshow. Mammoth said additional aircraft from Jetran’s orderbook, including freighters destined for DHL and Qatar Airways, are scheduled for delivery in the coming weeks.
Mammoth CEO Bill Tarpley said the delivery demonstrates the momentum behind the company’s 777 conversion program as the first aircraft prepares to enter revenue service with DHL.
Jetran CEO Jordan Jaffe described the delivery as the culmination of several years of development and collaboration between Jetran, Mammoth and DHL.
The 777-200LRMF is based on the Boeing 777-200LR passenger aircraft and is designed as a long-range, high-capacity freighter. Mammoth is also developing the larger 777-300ERMF conversion, which is approaching certification.
