Wizz Air announces an amended Airbus delivery agreement
Revised Airbus agreement supports sustainable, profitable capacity growth
Geneva, 7 November 2025: Wizz Air Holdings plc (LSE: WZZ.L) (“Wizz Air”) announces today that it has reached agreement with Airbus to reschedule its current order book.
Whilst Wizz Air’s remaining orderbook of 273 total aircraft remains intact, this revised agreement adjusts the delivery schedule to align with a more sustainable and profitable capacity growth trajectory.
Key elements of the revised agreement include:
· The New Schedule: The adjustment defers 88 deliveries originally scheduled to deliver by fiscal year 2030 to be delivered by fiscal year 2033.
· Fleet Mix: The commitment for A321XLRs reduces from 47 to 11 (including the 5 units already delivered), with the commitment for 36 A321XLRs converted to a commitment for 36 A321neos.
These amendments support the airline’s target of achieving a 10-12% seat capacity growth rate through 2030. The fleet is scheduled to be all-neo by calendar 2029, reinforcing Wizz Air’s position as one of the world’s most emissions-efficient airlines and delivering significant fuel-burn advantages compared to previous generation aircraft.
