ANA Holdings Adds Eight E190-E2s, Lifting Firm Order to 23 Aircraft

ANA Holdings has placed a firm order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2s, increasing its commitment for the regional jet to 23 aircraft.

The agreement formalizes the fleet expansion announced by ANA Holdings on July 29 and follows its original order for 15 E190-E2s in 2025. The Japanese aviation group retains options for another five aircraft.

Deliveries of ANA’s E190-E2 fleet are scheduled to begin in 2028. The aircraft will support the group’s regional network in Japan, where ANA plans to use the type to improve operating economics while maintaining capacity appropriate for smaller domestic markets.

The additional order deepens Embraer’s position in Japan, where E-Jets have operated since 2009. ANA’s selection of the E190-E2 also introduces the second-generation E-Jet family into its fleet as part of a broader effort to improve the efficiency of regional operations.

If ANA exercises its five remaining options, its E190-E2 fleet commitment would increase to as many as 28 aircraft.
