China Aircraft Leasing Group Agrees Sale of Three Aircraft

China Aircraft Leasing Group has agreed separate transactions to sell two Boeing 737-800s and one Airbus A321neo, with the three aircraft scheduled to change ownership by the end of 2026.

CALC agreed on September 30 to sell the two 737-800s to Chongqing Yangtze River No.1 Aircraft Leasing through two wholly owned special purpose vehicles. The buyer is a subsidiary of Yangtze River Finance Leasing and is ultimately controlled by Fang Wei.

The two 737-800 transactions are expected to close by November 30.

In a separate agreement signed October 2, another CALC special purpose vehicle agreed to sell an Airbus A321-271NX to Japan-based Sojitz Corporation. Completion of the A321neo transaction is expected by December 31.

CALC said all three disposals form part of its ordinary aircraft trading activities and are expected to contribute aircraft trading income as the lessor continues managing its portfolio through aircraft sales and acquisitions.

The transactions involve independent third-party buyers and qualify as aircraft leasing activities under Hong Kong listing rules. Each set of transactions triggered disclosure requirements because the applicable transaction ratios exceeded 5% but remained below 25%.

Financial terms, aircraft registrations and details of any leases attached to the three aircraft were not disclosed.
