National Airlines Orders Additional GE90 and CF6 Engines

National Airlines has committed to purchase one GE90-110B engine and six CF6-80C2 engines from GE Aerospace to support its Boeing 777F and 747F freighter fleet.

The latest order expands the cargo carrier’s long-standing relationship with GE Aerospace. National Airlines already operates a fleet powered by 30 CF6 engines and eight GE90 engines, with the additional engines intended to support growing air cargo demand and enhance operational flexibility.

The GE90 exclusively powers the Boeing 777 Freighter, while the CF6 remains one of the most widely used engines on widebody freighter aircraft. Both engine families are recognized for their reliability, durability and strong performance in cargo operations.

The additional engine purchase will strengthen National Airlines’ freighter fleet as it continues to expand its global cargo network and meet increasing demand for international freight services.
