Turkish Airlines Firms Order for 100 737 MAX Jets with 50 Options

Turkish Airlines has finalized an order for 100 Boeing 737-8s and secured options for another 50 737 MAX aircraft, completing negotiations that began in 2025.

The agreement represents the airline’s largest Boeing single-aisle order and includes substitution rights allowing Turkish Airlines to select the larger 737-10 for part of the commitment. The aircraft will support fleet growth and short- and medium-haul operations from the carrier’s Istanbul hub.

Turkish Airlines and its AJet subsidiary currently operate more than 200 Boeing aircraft across the 737 MAX, 737 Next-Generation, 777, 787 and 777 Freighter families. The additional MAX aircraft will increase the group’s new-generation narrowbody capacity as it expands its domestic and international networks.

The narrowbody agreement follows Turkish Airlines’ 2025 order for up to 75 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, extending the carrier’s Boeing orderbook across both single-aisle and widebody aircraft.

The 737 MAX transaction also includes industrial participation intended to support Türkiye’s aviation sector, continuing Boeing’s existing involvement with the country’s aerospace industry.
