Embraer and Azorra Agree on Up to 30 E190F Freighters

Embraer and aircraft lessor Azorra have signed an agreement covering up to 30 Embraer E190F passenger-to-freighter conversions, marking Azorra’s entry into the dedicated freighter leasing market.

The agreement includes 20 firm orders and 10 purchase rights and follows the E190F’s entry into commercial service earlier this year. The aircraft is designed to serve the growing express cargo sector, offering more than 100 cubic metres of cargo volume and a payload of up to 13.5 tonnes.

Built on Embraer’s E-Jets platform, the E190F is positioned between large turboprop freighters and converted narrowbody aircraft. Embraer says the type delivers approximately 30% lower operating costs than older narrowbody freighters while providing comparable range and cargo capacity with lower noise and emissions.

The agreement builds on Azorra’s expanding relationship with Embraer following its recent order for additional E195-E2 aircraft. The lessor plans to market the E-Freighter to operators across growth markets including Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
